Blockchain transactions are publicly listed on a ledger. Blockchains like Cardano, Algorand or Ethereum are public and immutable.
Want to try crypto? You’ll need a ‘wallet’ to make transactions. There are thousands of wallet providers, some more decentralised than others. Most large exchanges, where you can purchase crypto, like Binance, Coinbase or ByBit, will automatically offer you a wallet when you open an account with them and pass their KYC (verify yourself).
There are also Cardano specific wallets like Yoroi, Eternl or Vespr. All you’ll need to do to use one of those is to safely take note of a ‘seedphrase’- a 20+-word sequence you will have to reenter in the correct order should you ever lose your credentials. The latter three wallets are Cardano-centric and will allow you to experiment with purchasing ‘tokens’ issued on the Cardano blockchain.
If you register for the B4G Digital Goodie Bag, you will receive an NMKR paper wallet to your email.
