ADA Truth: Breaking down barriers for people to learn about Cardano
Sustainable ADA | Apr 27, 2022
What is ADA Truth?
ADA Truth was founded by Petr Smělík, and the overarching goal is to create a bridge for people to learn about Cardano through film and media.
The aim of the ADA Truth project is to educate people about Cardano using short documentary videos.
The main focus is on the facts and transparency of Cardano. Its mission is to make people smile, and create new thoughts and ideas by filming stories that are true and inspiring.
Petr Smêlík Founder of ADA Truth
Petr has been working as a TV/film professional for over 16 years.
He has worked mostly for Czech television, but also for independent production companies.
Petr is the producer and director of the Adatruth docu-series.
They have a small crew based in Prague, Czech Republic, and on set, they usually work within a crew of 3-5 people. Which is considered documentary-like filming.
They also have a small post-production studio for editing and color grading.
The team uses the services of their friendly audio studio for recording voiceovers and overall audio-post production components.
“Blockchain is here to bring reliable and secure financial services. Even for people who do not currently have access to it. That’s where I see the potential of this technology”
Why ADA Truth?
The real challenge is to bring education about the blockchain to the general public, especially to young people.
“Since they will be interested in blockchain no matter the government actions.
They think it is really important that the youth understand what the blockchain is really about. So young actors in the space are resilient to scams and make informed and well-thought decisions in their lives.
I started this project simply because I felt there’s not enough information about Cardano in a nicely-done format. TV, film, and documentaries are strong media in my opinion and are really crucial when it comes to blockchain newcomers.” – Petr
Why Cardano?
ADA Truth chose Cardano because it has a strong vision.
“Cardano plans to bring technology and modern financial services to Africa. This alone is huge. Plus it is much greener than other major blockchains and has a great community. I believe it’s a blockchain that will trigger a positive global change.” – Petr
ADA Truth’s connection to the Sustainable Development Goals
The United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are an urgent call for action by all countries. This enables countries to create global partnerships that work towards achieving these goals. The goal is to achieve the SDGs, which are built upon decades of work by countries and the UN.
Blockchain technology is a key technology for the SDGs because it enables stakeholders globally to have the ability to track, record, and share data that is immutable, timestamped, and verifiable.
ADA Truth has a direct connection to SDG 4 Quality Education; ‘Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all’. Along with SDG 16 Peaceful, Justice, and Strong Institutions; ‘Provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable, and inclusive institutions at all levels’.
